From Where I Sit | A Monday Post

Hey gang! Its Monday again. It seems like no matter how hard I try Monday's just keep coming. I can't complain though. For now I spend most of my Mondays sitting in a coffee shop with my beautiful baby girl and my sweet toddler friend Claire! I've been watching Claire for almost 3 years (wow) and Mondays have always been our favorite. We cram in A BUNCH of school work and spend the afternoons lounging around 25 30 Espresso. Not a bad Monday if I do say so myself!
One thing my Monday does not consist of ( or most parts of my life post baby) is a schedule. I am a SUPER planner. I feel so accomplished coming up with an itinerary for things, planning a trip somewhere or even just planning my day! After little Miss. Liana made her appearance it became clear that schedules would be a rare commodity for this mama and that was just something I would have to get used to. My husband is far from structured...he's very spontaneous and I think that's why God paired us together. I need that in my life to keep things fresh. However running a business requires a little bit of structure to maintain itself. So this Monday I created a blog schedule! Writing is something I LOVE. It started with multiple trips to my own mama's work. She was in the military and worked for Soldier's magazine. She won't admit it but she was a big dog there. She would always edit my papers for school and sometimes I think she did a better job than my own teachers! Long story short...I'm making a commitment to blogging more. It's important to keep that creative side of my brain churning. It's a great place to showcase sessions and just share my heart! .
Monday's will now be part of a series called "From Where I Sit." I sit a lot as a mom. I sit while I nurse, I sit while I read and so on. From where I sit will consist of my thoughts and sights from...you guessed it...where I sit. Slowing down is so hard as a mom. Sometimes just sitting in The Lords presence and listening to what He has to say can open a whole new door. Even if you sit for five minutes, try it! I promise you won't be disappointed.

Mondays are made for fresh starts. I personally enjoy Mondays. It gives me a chance to reflect on last week and plan for this week. Today I'm craving adventure. It's almost as strong of a craving as those times when I crave ice cream (that just wins the craving struggle). My husband and I are BIG adventurers and we want our daughter to be a little explorer too. I need adventure in my life. It doesn't matter if its something new or something old or even adventuring into a new thought! I need it. Today while sitting in 25 30 I looked up some physical adventures for my family to experience and I wrote down some thoughts to venture into this year and next year. I decided while looking at my planner that this year will be FULL of adventure. My husband and I set goals for our family to accomplish by the end of 2017 and we fully intend on crushing them! I ventured into those goals through thought today and I prayed over them and I asked for guidance and wisdom. I love how Jesus leads our family. Even if its not as fast as I would like to move He leads us so gracefully into His glory and gets above our goals in the most beautiful ways. I encourage you to sit. Set goals. Pray for your goals. Then venture into Monday (or whats left of it) ready to crush them. Long term goals, short term goals, life goals WHO CARES! Write them down so you can see them and pray for the adventure that is achieving those goals.
Enjoy some of these images from where I sit! I hope you have an adventurous Monday!
